Big Day!

Tomorrow is the big day!  We are finally getting induced!  Actually, Monday at 1:30am is technically when our appointment is (I know, what an odd time).  Gives us ALL day Sunday to think about what is about to happen.  We'll be 39 weeks tomorrow and the doctors feel that enough is enough with our little one.  We were at the hospital, again, yesterday to have the heart rate monitored.  I tell ya, this baby is a trouble maker.  The heart sounds funny at the doctor's office, so they send us to the hospital, and then everything sounds perfect.  Someone definitely likes to be the center of attention already!  Is this a sign that we are going to have our hands full with our little stinker?  Paul and I were joking that we have been to the hospital more times in the last month than we both have in our entire lives.  But, on a positive note, we are very familiar with where to check in at the hospital, the Argo Tea in the lobby, and a few of the nurse's already know us by name.  Stay tuned - pictures of baby Nelhart to come soon!  We are dying to know if we've been baking a boy or girl this whole time :)

Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock...

We are patiently awaiting the arrival of the newest Nelhart, well, I don't think I'm being very patient.   We aren't due until the 21st, but have had some pretty good progress over the last couple of weeks.  At this point we go to the doctor twice a week, thanks to our little stinker's heart beat scare a few weeks ago.  The baby isn't even born yet and already giving us a run for our money, is this what we have to look forward to?  A lifetime of worry? :)  We have had wonderful heart beats every since (well, except for last Friday when they sent us to the hospital to monitor closer, but everything turned out just fine), but the docs are being very cautious, so into the office twice a week we go to listen to the heart.  Today is one of those days.  I'm hoping we are having even more progress, fingers crossed!  We've heard that more babies are born during a full moon, and there is a full moon this Friday!  We will see what happens...

It's been awhile!

We're back, and with some exciting news to share. Paul and I are expecting our first little one this August. We are so excited, and are feeling very blessed. This Friday we have our 20 week ultra sound - no, we are not finding out the sex - but I will be sure to post a pic of our little bambino after our big appointment.

January Weekend Fun

Paul and I decided to check out the Diamond Exhibit at The Field Museum over the weekend. After seeing all the amazing diamonds I think it's time for an upgrade. A 5 carat stone perhaps? I'm worth it, right?

Paul stopped in front of the elephants in the main lobby for a quick shot. Uncanny how much he resembles the background?

Good 'ole La Crosse

This past weekend I picked up my old friend, Nina, in the 'burbs and headed to our alma mater for a mini-college reunion. I had a wonderful time reliving the old days on 3rd street and at 30 have finally realized what my alcohol "limit" is. Knock on wood! I have to admit, my favorite part was hanging out in the "party" room with my girls - Michelle and Nina. I miss them so much! Spending time with the old crew makes me realize how blessed I am to have such wonderful people in my life, we need to get together more often!

Katie is in town!

Since Paul and I don't have any babies yet, except for Maddie and Mason which don't technically count, I have come to the realization that I don't have much to write about. Well, that has finally changed because my sister arrived in the big city earlier today! So far nothing too exciting has happened though - Katie and I ran to Macy's earlier today and we are going to spend the night in the "hoffice". Tomorrow may be a little bit more exciting so stay tuned!
